SANTA CLARA, Calif.
(Reuters) – The Internet of Things, which is a buzzword that’s now a common phrase in the world of consumer electronics, has been transformed into a market that has seen more than its fair share of unexpected success.
It’s a term that has captured the imaginations of people everywhere, but for a group of eBay executives who are looking to take advantage of that growth, the Internet of Accessories is just a part of their business plan.
EBay said it plans to sell a range of accessories to help fill a growing demand for new tech products, such as refrigerators, power supplies, cameras and so on.
“We’re a tech company and we’re building a tech ecosystem for the future,” Chief Executive Officer Mike Johnson said in an interview.
We think there is a need for accessories, and the Internet is a great platform to do that,” he said.
The idea of selling technology-related products through the online auction site has been around for a while, but Johnson said the company wanted to put it into practice.
Its been in the works for years.
In May, eBay was one of a handful of companies to unveil plans to start selling tech-related goods through the site.
At the time, Johnson said he expected to sell hundreds of thousands of items per year, and that the company was expecting to reach $500 million in revenue by 2020.
This is just the beginning.
We’re building the ecosystem for our future, and this is just our first step in that direction.
And the more we can get this ecosystem going, the more opportunity there will be to build an ecosystem for other businesses to capitalize on, and there’s so much opportunity that eBay has to grow.
He said the site will expand its reach to new markets and offer new products, including a product called an Apple Watch, which could be a major hit.
Apple has been one of the leading buyers of consumer hardware, but many people are turning to third-party sellers who sell gadgets and other consumer products through eBay.
For example, a new product called the iRobot Smart Kitchen, which has been on sale on eBay since last week, sells kitchen gadgets such as pots and pans, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners and dishwashers.
But in the past, the company has struggled to attract buyers.
As the market has evolved, so has the demand.
So we’re getting ready to launch the first products with this company,” Johnson said.

However, it’s a great idea that could be hugely popular.
A survey conducted by research firm Gartner for Fortune Magazine found that consumers are spending $2.4 billion on Apple products and are spending an average of $3,500 per watch every year.
They also seem to love the concept of a “smart home,” which will allow them to control everything from the lights to the thermostat with just a few taps.
While the idea has been floated before, this is the first time the company is actually taking advantage of it.
When Johnson announced his plan last year, he said that eBay would be launching a “sales channel” for the Apple Watch.
That is a way to sell products directly to consumers without the need for an online shop.
Now that the idea is on the table, it looks like the company might be able to do it.
Last year, the San Jose company started accepting orders for the new Apple Watch on eBay.
But when the company opened its first store on January 29, it only had two stores, which it closed on February 13.
According to a statement on its website, the Apple watch will be available for $499, a significant savings over the original price of $1,500.
Johnson said that it was hard to estimate how much the device will sell for at launch, but it would be enough to get him through a rough patch.
People are going to love it, he added.

“The new Apple TV, the first Apple device to be made by Apple, will be made available to consumers through the new eBay store.
Since it launched in January, the service has sold more than 11 million items, and its revenue is expected to rise.
