The online retail giant Northwest Computer accessories said Tuesday it has entered into an agreement to acquire Northwest Computer Accessories Inc., the company that has been a fixture in the Portland, Oregon computer accessory market for nearly two decades.

The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The person requested anonymity to discuss a private transaction.
A company spokeswoman declined to comment further.
In October, Northwest announced that it would acquire a company, called S2C, that provides cooling accessories to bike manufacturers.
The company also has been expanding into video gaming and a growing list of other hardware and electronic products.
In December, Northwest was also acquired by a new company called Mellow Machines.
The deal will result in the consolidation of Northwest’s digital business and the acquisition of Mellow’s retail operations.
