Apple CEO Tim Cook says the new iPhone 5 is just as capable as the original, and says the company is doing everything it can to improve the smartphone.
The iPhone 5 and the iPhone 6, which launched in September, were the first iPhones to ship with OLED screens, which offer a wide field of view and allow for a richer user experience.
While the new models offer a similar display to the previous models, the iPhone 7 and the upcoming iPhone 8 will offer a larger, more vivid display that will allow for more vivid colors, more pixels, and more advanced processing.
The bigger, more powerful display was first announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
It has been the focus of the Apple marketing campaign to highlight the new technology.
In a video on Apple’s YouTube channel, Cook said the new iPhones are “the best display ever” and that they are “a big leap forward”.
Apple has said it expects to introduce a new model in the first half of 2018.
