A little more than two years after the console’s launch, Nintendo Switch is now on track to arrive in 2019.
Nintendo has revealed that the system will ship in “early 2019,” but the company didn’t reveal any specific dates.
This may be a hint that it will ship sooner than later, as the company has previously announced that the console will ship at least sometime between 2019 and 2020.
Nintendo is reportedly planning to release a second console for the Switch that will also ship in early 2019, but there has been no confirmation as to whether this will be the Switch 2.
The first Switch console, which was released in March 2017, shipped with a touchscreen controller and a $200 price tag.
We’ve reached out to Nintendo for more information on this and will update this article when we hear back.
The Switch 2 will also feature a larger controller, a new faceplate, and a new “FIFA 16” gamepad.
There is no word on when the Switch 3 will arrive, but if it does, it will be with a larger screen and a larger price tag as well.
